Product Engineering Manager

Technology Areas: mobile applications, mobile web, web, other

Years of Experience: 8+


  • Defining deliverables including comprehensive documentation
  • Working closely with Technical Leads and/or Product Engineering Managers to help formulate and plan major software development initiatives into a version release plan
  • Monitoring and controlling the project in accordance with program plan
  • Monitoring and assessing the quality of the deliverables being produced by 3Pillar designers and developers
  • Collaborating closely with and provide direction to the development team including architects, developers and testers
  • Communicating plans and status to the client, team members, and internal management as appropriate
  • Directing and motivating the entire project team
  • Managing the overall progress of a project and use of resources, including the initiation of corrective action if required
  • Supporting Account Manager in management project financials to ensure engagements are within budget and in accordance with the contract / SOW

We have been in business since 2000, have over 100 employees and have never had an unprofitable year. We are now in a growth phase and are looking for someone to lead the sales effort as we SCALE UP.

The role entails thought leadership, establishing and maintaining key account relationships, and working with Solution & Delivery teams in key growth strategies. You will be generating consulting, implementation and integration services by pursuing established newly developed prospects, generating new business prospects, and cross selling into existing clients and established partners. You will have the responsibility for identifying high-level sales opportunities, preparing proposals, making presentations to clients, negotiating terms, and closing deals. You can expect to work directly with the COO, CFO and inhouse counsel.

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities and qualifications:


  • Lead sales for software professional services outsourcing.
  • Accountable for revenue and order booking goals.
  • Develop and execute demand generation plan for each segment.
  • Develop and present proposals and quotations.
  • Manage existing strategic customer engagements to ensure customer satisfaction and sales growth.
  • Identify and engage with new potential /existing clients to support the practice/ geographic strategies.
  • Build thought leadership and brand awareness through development of whitepapers, workshops, support for collateral development, and presentations in customer/industry forums.
  • Develop and support focused sales campaigns for strategic initiatives including a variety of outbound marketing techniques.
  • Work with internal teams to identify and create strategic initiatives, and operating plans.

Desired Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven ability to implement sales strategies to independently close deals with both existing customers and new prospects.
  • History of exceeding quotas and demonstrating sales development with complex sales supporting mission critical applications. Understand business drivers within the industry and emerging marketplace trends.
  • Ability to work and meet objectives with minimal direction and oversight.
  • Outstanding communication (written and oral), collaboration, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • 10+ years of experience in the Software Professional Services sales, product management and product development preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development and selling within a consulting or professional services organization and progressive sales experience in the Information Technology Outsourcing market, selling at the C-level. Exposure selling cloud, security and mobility solutions is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of architectural principles in building large scale web- and desktop- based platforms for Mobile, Cloud, and on-premises datacenters.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft technology stack or open source stack is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability as a thought leader with flair for consultative selling.
  • Ability to understand and conceptualize customer requirements and lead structuring of deals.
  • Ability to travel within Americas as needed.
